摘要: An epizootic of Aujeszky's disease (pseudorabies) in four captive European brown bears (Ursus arctos) November 1994, the Val di Non, Trentino Region, Italy, was linked to consumption raw pork. Affected animals had severe pruritus resulting self-mutilation, and all died within 24 hr after onset clinical signs. virus isolated on first passage from brain characterized by means restriction endonuclease analysis. Based these data, we believe that are extremely susceptible disease, wildlife managers should consider pseudorabies as a potential risk for wild bear populations.
