Financial and economic analysis of agroforestry:key issues

摘要: Agroforestry is seen by many as a solution to environmental problems and sustainable enterprise especially suited resource poor farmers. Is agroforestry amenable economic analysis? Have we any basis for making rational decisions promoting agroforestry? Especially, can the perceived advantages of - better use resources, erosion control, multiple products be quantified valued? This paper addresses cost-benefit analysis method systematically assessing excess benefits over costs enterprises individuals, households institutions from perspective society whole. The major steps CBA relevant are described reviews number prediction models, including models only one specifically designed agroforestry: SCUAF (Soil Changes Under Agroforestry). Six studies reviewed it concludes with an identification key issues that will need addressed before further advance made.
