摘要: In this paper, the feasibility of on-board data reduction/compression concept described in is evaluated for infrared images taken from space observatories. The method in, which was initially designed and developed PACS (photodetector array camera spectrometer) instrument, makes use integration to achieve higher compression ratio (CR) applications with a modest telemetry rate. evaluation reduction takes into account visual performance (distortion) ratio. distortion assessed by calculating reconstruction error using 4 metrics, namely, root mean square (RMSE), signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR), peak-signal-to-noise-ratio (PSNR) potential information loss (PIL). A quantitative performed on ISOCAM (infrared observatory camera). We conclude short summary.
