Implementation and validation of wave algorithm in indigenised buoy system

摘要: National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) deploying moored buoys in the Northern Indian Ocean. Moored collect in-situ time series met-ocean data which is considered as reference for validating satellite and operational / numerical model output these observations are accurate reliable. The wave parameters such significant height, average period mean direction etc., derived from measurements Motion Reference Unit (MRU-6) by processing system called GENI imported FOAS (Furgo Oceanor AS). NIOT has indigenously developed a algorithm indigenized acquisition (IDAS) buoys. In order to validate new buoy, buoy was deployed Bay off Paradip at Lat. 18° N Long. 89° E along with proven buoy. both were compared also height (Hm0) JASON-2 altimeter data. this particular captured during Thane cyclone. inter comparison show very good correlation. Also comparisons that match well.
