摘要: We present the design and prototyping results for an ultra-wideband rotating polarization modulator that consists of a stack quartz plates. The plate thicknesses orientations were optimized such after rotation to 6 different angles before analyzer, full Stokes vector can be optimally determined at all wavelengths from 300 2500 nm. Additional optimization parameters include minimal variation retardance with incidence angle temperature, suppression polarized spectral fringes resolution 10,000. prototype modulator's was re-optimized production measurement each individual plate. performance as-built prototype. To eliminate aliasing inherent temporal variations source, used together polarizing beam-splitter (dual-beam" approach). Because large sinusoidal modulation, this also considered "spectral channeled spectropolarimetry". Therefore, modulation state, spectrally resolved information extracted directly, although limited resolution. use as example "multi-domain modulator", outline general approach storing in available dimensions (temporal, spatial, spectral), rendering overall independent systematic effects any these dimensions.
