摘要: The thermal behavior of mono (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (monoester) was investigated in a batch system over the temperature range from 80 to 250°. After 12 hr reaction period, around 7% monoester decomposed at 80°. decomposition reached 50% 150°and 90% products were bis (BEHP ; 53% 200°), 2-ethylhexanol and phthalic anhydride. reacted poorly with water, under-going hydrolysis only difficulty. In addition, cis-elimination did not occur. mechanism is discussed.
