摘要: Since the mid-1980s U.S. domestic firms have faced significant increases in foreign-based (i.e., import) competition as reductions barriers to international commerce resulted markets and industries becoming increasingly global. Despite growing widespread importance of competition, influence that such may exert on corporate diversification strategy is a question largely overlooked strategic management literature. This paper examines impact firm's core business both level nature at panel dataset over period 1985–94.
