摘要: Abstract Boyeria cretensis belongs to the most threatened European dragonfly species. It is restricted some isolated permanent streams on island of Crete. The have a pronounced gallery vegetation and are situated in narrow belt altitude between 50 400 m. We understand very little about biology this species so information required develop effective conservation measures. life cycle spatial distribution larvae were studied at small perennial stream central part Crete during three consecutive years. showed preference for calcareous sinter mineral substrate associated with organic material such as roots, leaves wood. This microhabitat selection supposed be mainly an antidrift strategy, since B. lives habitats dynamic hydrology rainy period winter.
