摘要: Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a noninvasive and painless tool for the electrical of human cortex (Barker et al. 1985). TMS depolarizes cortical neurons can evoke measurable electrophysiological behavioral effects. usually applied to one area, but also be given two or more areas (i.e., multi-site TMS). Single paired stimuli short stimulus trains high-frequency bursts) provide means transiently disrupting ongoing neuronal processing in stimulated cortex. Repetitive (rTMS) refers application prolonged stimuli, which are either continuously as long at constant rate (continuous rTMS), intermittently repetitive bursts intermittent burst-like rTMS). rTMS modify excitability cerebral site remote interconnected brain regions, beyond time stimulation. Its neuromodulatory effects make valuable study functional plasticity networks may used therapeutically patients with neurological psychiatric disorders.
