摘要: Hilar cholangiocarcinoma, which represents approximately 60% of biliary tract malignancies, is increasing in incidence and presents an ongoing challenge for patients hepatobiliary surgeons. Although the majority present with advanced disease, remaining minority are best treated surgical resection or transplant. Transplant typically reserved locally unresectable tumors often setting underlying hepatic dysfunction will not be discussed herein. This review, therefore, focuses on oncological strategies implemented treatment hilar cholangiocarcinoma at a quaternary referral center, including preoperative considerations such as patient selection optimization future liver remnant, nuances to operative approach these under low central venous pressure management bile duct, well postoperative management.
