摘要: The microstructure of a friction stir-welded Al-6.0Cu-0.75Mg-0.65Ag (wt.%) alloy in the peak-aged T6 temper was characterized by transmission electron microscopy. Strengthening precipitates found base alloys dissolved weld nugget, while those heat-affected zone coarsened considerably, causing softening inside region. Precipitates Ω (Al 2 Cu) phase, being main strengthening phase material, grew up to 200-300 nm zone, but their density decreased. They co-existed with Θ' Cu), S' CuMg), Θ and σ 5 Cu 6 Mg ) phases. phases as well sizes increased compared material. high-resolution observation allowed compare morphology plates
