摘要: Abstract Combined ion exchange (CIX) treatment of wastewater effluent and ion-exchange regeneration using flue gas carbon dioxide (CO2) was investigated as a way beneficially joining the water energy sectors. CIX removed calcium, magnesium, sulfate, nitrate, phosphate, dissolved organic from effluent. Regeneration sodium chloride, bicarbonate, hydrochloric acid, CO2 investigated. Carbon had lower efficiency compared with other solutions. Alternative conditions were evaluated to gain insight on effects increased pressure, contact time, rate dissolution efficiency.
