摘要: The threatened Reba carp, Cirrhinus reba is a freshwater fish species found in ponds, rivers, canals and tanks of Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal Pakistan. present study describes the first complete inclusive description life-history traits including sex ratio, length-frequency distributions (LFD), length-weight relationships (LWR), condition factors (Allometric, KA; Fulton’s, KF; Relative condition, KR; weight, WR), form factor (a3.0) size at sexual maturity C. Ganges River, NW Bangladesh. Sampling was done using traditional fishing gears cast net, square lift net conical trap from April 2011 to March 2012. total length (TL), fork (FL) standard (SL) were measured nearest 0.01 cm digital slide calipers body weight (BW) an electronic balance with g accuracy. LWR calculated expression: W= Lb, where W BW, L TL. estimated empirical equation by Binohlan Froese (2009) for male female, separately. A 250 specimens ranging 8.00 – 23.40 TL 4.30 200 BW analyzed this study. overall ratio did not differ significantly expected value 1:1 (χ2 = 3.38, p 3.00) female there significant differences intercepts (ancova, p< 0.001) slopes between sexes. In addition, Mann-Whitney U-test showed Fulton’s (p< 0.001). one sample t-test that mean WR (actual 99.50) 100 (p= 0.523) 0.197) study, indicating habitat still good reba. Moreover, as 11.50 13.50 TL, respectively. results would be useful sustainable conservation carp fishery Bangladesh also neighboring countries.
