摘要: Abstract A calculation procedure for rapid computation of steady multidimensional viscous flows is presented. The method solves the Navier-Stokes equations in primitive variables using a coupled block-implicit multigrid procedure. applicable to finite-difference formulations staggered locations flow variables. smoothing technique called symmetrical Gauss-Seidel (SCGS) proposed and empirically observed provide good rates. square cavity with moving top wall calculated range Reynolds numbers. Calculations finite difference grids as large 321 × nodes have been made test accuracy efficiency scheme. CPU times these calculations are be significantly smaller than other solution algorithms variable formulation. fields agreement earlier studies same situation.
