摘要: A homozygous insertion mutant with the inactivated clpP2gene, which encodes proteolytic subunit of ATP-dependent peptidase, was obtained in unicellular cyanobacterium Synechocystissp. PCC 6803. The cannot grow under photoautotrophic conditions, but cells grown heterotrophic conditions a glucose-containing medium have active photosystems Iand II(PS PS II). loss capacity for growth is determined by high sensitivity to inactivating effect light. Their incubation light an intensity above 10 μE m–2s–1inhibits cell culture and causes degradation photosynthetic pigments. It proposed that ClpP2 peptidase involved protection Synechocystis6803 from photoinhibition.
