摘要: The thermal dissociation of hydrogen on hot tungsten filaments has been used in the investigation reaction atomic with acetylene. A quantitative method developed for detection at pressures order 10−3 mm. catalytic effect acetylene recombination studied and rate constant rate‐determining step calculated to be 8.6×10−14 molecules−1 cm3 sec.−1 25°C. In contrast results obtained by discharge tube method, small amounts hydrogenated products are formed.
