摘要: The grazing value of a large portion the desert grassland in southwestern United States has been greatly reduced during last 100 to 150 years by invasion undesirable shrubs. Although much present area is now lightly infested, infestation does not have be heavy before range productivity seriously damaged. As economic welfare Southwest depends measure upon its and soil resources, investigations determine extent shrub invasion, rate deterioration, possible reasons for this retrogression plant cover are important. In study, records vegetational changes, environmental conditions, forage utilization were compiled analyzed an attempt on southern New Mexico semidesert over thirtyyear period.
