摘要: The focus of this review is to highlight the need for improved communication between medical and dental professionals in order deliver more effective care patients. increasingly required capitalise on recent advances biological sciences medicine management patients with chronic diseases. Improvements longevity have resulted populations increasing special oral-care needs, including those who cancer head neck, are immunocompromised due HIV/AIDS, advanced age, residence long-term facilities or presence life-long conditions, receiving prescription medications conditions (e.g., anti-hypertensives, anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, antidepressants). These can cause adverse reactions oral cavity, such as xerostomia ulceration. Patients at increased risk tooth decay, periodontal disease infection. ideal individuals should involve collaborative efforts physicians, nurses, dentists hygienists, thus optimising treatment minimising secondary complications deriving from cavity.
