摘要: Abstract Objective: To evaluate the use of a computerised support system for decision making implementing evidence based clinical guidelines management asthma and angina in adults primary care. Design: A before after pragmatic cluster randomised controlled trial utilising two by incomplete block design. Setting: 60 general practices north east England. Participants: General practitioners practice nurses study their patients aged 18 or over with asthma. Main outcome measures: Adherence to guidelines, on review case notes patient reported generic condition specific measures. Results: The had no significant effect consultation rates, process care measures (including prescribing), any outcomes either condition. Levels software were low. Conclusions: No was found This probably due low levels software, despite being optimised as far technically possible. Even if technical problems producing that fully supports chronic disease solved, there remains challenge integrating systems into encounters where busy manage complex, multiple conditions.
