摘要: Abstract The requirement for an alloy-specific heat treatment of TiH2 producing foams by the powder metallurgy route was demonstrated in this study. Three heat-treated powders were used to produce from three Al–Si–Mg alloys having different liquidus temperatures. Dehydrogenation behaviour studied using mass spectroscopy and thermogravimetry analysis. Foams characterised means X-ray tomography. Quasi-static compression tests employed test their mechanical property. Using a combination treatments, it that good foam structure can be obtained when maximum hydrogen release takes place after complete melting alloy. amount released during solid semisolid stages foaming also play role determining final foams. It observed such with possess higher strength compared produced blowing agent releases before melting.
