摘要: Abstract BCG-immunized volunteers received intradermal injections of PPD to produce delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions. Skin biopsies were removed 12, 24, 48, and 72 hr after injection. Frozen sections these normal skin examined with immunohistological techniques using heterologous monoclonal antibodies label specific cell populations. In some studies, combined cytochemical reactions demonstrate acid phosphatase adenosinetriphosphatase activity. Such combination analyses allowed the discrete identification mononuclear cells (lymphocytes monocytes/macrophages) that constituted DTH-associated infiltration. Lymphocytes inducer cytotoxic/suppressor phenotype appeared in a ratio 2:1 former (but not latter) sub-population seen have migrated epidermis. Infiltrating monocytes/macrophages identified by their “staining” anti-HLA-DR antiserum they could be divided into subpopulations techniques. The disposition one another relationship Langerhans also revealed. These observations are discussed relation existing histological descriptions DTH reaction, implications relevant underlying local cellular interaction proposed.
