摘要: Bayer process liquors derived from the digestion of bauxites with a caustic solution are purified by removing at least portion organic impurities present in liquors. Removal these is accomplished treating liquor containing dispersed therein solids generated or added thereto, such as red mud particles, alumina trihydrate, oxalate salt, filter aid an polymeric, water-soluble cationic quaternary ammonium salt (POLYQUAT salt) which due to its nature will adhere surface solids. The coating layer adhered provides receptive for impurities, thus allowing formation solid-Polyquat-organic Adduct easily removed system.
