摘要: Abstract : Cyanobacteria mats, generated by ensiled grass enrichments, were adapted for high level metal and metalloid tolerance subsequently evaluated their potential in sequestering reduction. Excised mats sections, applied to mixed solutions, containing concentrations of Zn: 3250, Cu: 279, Cd: 28 (mg/L), showed the following removals, 78%; Cu 99% days. Mats immobilized on glass wool packed columns - removals solution a 3 h retention time, 83%, 88%, 92%. Immobilized layered flow through baffle (flow rate 2-2.5 ml/min), removed an average 96.7% Cd four 500-ml flows 20 mg/L. Mat ecosystems contained simultaneous oxic anoxic conditions. High reducing potentials within system rapidly effectively reduced selenate elemental selenium. Mixed microbial demonstrated good removal transformation certain heavy metals metalloids.
