摘要: Novel polyphenol compositions are prepared by successively reacting a phenol with formaldehyde or reversible polymer thereof and sulfurizing the same sulfur halide. The reaction sulfurization may be effected in either order, but preferably takes place first. resulting polyphenols useful as oxidation inhibitors lubricants. They also reacted epoxides, epoxide products metal bases (especially alkali alkaline earth bases, barium calcium) to yield basic salts. salts ethylene oxide propylene oxide. thus obtained lubricants detergents inhibitors.
