摘要: A process for the production of bis(fluoromethyl)ether which comprises contacting formaldehyde with hydrogen fluoride in presence an essentially water-immiscible solvent ether. The may be converted to difluoromethane, optionally after separation from solvent, preferably by heating elevated temperature a metal, metal oxide, or oxyfluoride catalyst.
