摘要: A nonradioactive glass in particulate form adapted for radiation therapy a mammal comprise biodegradable rare earth-lithium borate material of specified composition which, upon being subjected to an effective amount neutron irradiation, will produce beta or gamma emitting radioisotope, the radioisotope distributed throughout material, introduced into body fluid react therewith causing insoluble compound on surface which is retained and thereby prevented from escaping treatment site. Radioactive glasses methods carrying out with such radioactive are also disclosed.
