摘要: Shallow cumulus convection plays a crucial role in determining the vertical thermodynamic structure of atmosphere and influences large-scale circulation significantly both tropics mid-latitudes. This is most clearly demonstrated Hadley over tropical oceans, such as schematically illustrated Fig. 1. In subtropical belts, surface evaporation from ocean increases due to enhanced transport heat moisture by shallow clouds, which are usually referred trade-wind cumuli. moisture, collected boundary layer, transported trade winds towards intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), where it finally released latent deep convective precipitating towers. Since this release an important engine circulation, upstream region can be regarded fuel supply for circulation. It context that presence cumuli, though small individual size non-precipitating, intensifies Locally, clouds also counteract drying warming effects subsidence induced As result, steady state maintained.
