摘要: Abstract This paper demonstrates, theoretically and experimentally, the feasibility of utilizing Shape Memory Actuators (SMA) in controlling flexural vibrations a flexible cantilevered beam. The beam dynamics are modeled, by using finite element method, integrated with thermal dynamic characteristics SMA to develop mathematical model composite beam-actuators system. accounts for effect actuators' physical geometrical parameters on elastic inertial properties An active computer-controlled prototype system is designed based developed. performance control evaluated, at different operating conditions, when subjected step displacements. results obtained demonstrate potential as viable means damping out vibration systems.
