What Is Design for Social Sustainability? A Systematic Literature Review for Designers of Product-Service Systems

摘要: Social sustainability is concerned with the wellbeing and flourishing of societies now in future. Despite its importance, it has been largely overlooked compared environmental economic dimensions sustainability. Additionally, although there a longstanding history design being used to tackle social problems, concept for not well-understood. In light this, current study aims conceptually develop It specifically focuses on how this can be developed product-service systems. A systematic literature review sustainable conducted synthesise fragmented knowledge total 69 articles are analysed respect terminology, context, methods, focus key themes. doing so, helps summarise identify several promising areas further research. particular, calls additional contextual place-based perspectives; development appropriate metrics, methods tools; research linkages between existing approaches methods. This article contributes three ways: (1) integrates disparate within domain systems, (2) defines makes progress toward operationalising by identifying dimensions, (3) identifies gaps highlights important designers systems because sheds what desirable achievable.
