摘要: Abstract The appearance of the nose, mouth and nostrils was analysed in two series unilateral, complete cleft lip patients. A programme written for use on a BBC microcomputer to measure symmetry facial features traced from photographs. Symmetry measured using one methods: determining area non-overlap when side reflected other (area method) or calculating distance regularly spaced points outline nearest point reflection opposite (curve method). rankings photographs based these results were compared with subjective given by lay panel. curve method agreed well (P Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficients=
