摘要: Compatibilization of polystyrene/polypropylene (PS/PP) blends, by use a series butadiene–styrene block copolymers was studied means small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The compatibilizers used differ in molar mass the number blocks. It shown that ability copolymer (BC) to participate formation an interfacial layer (and hence compatibilization) is closely associated with styrene If blocks are long enough form entanglements homopolymer melt, then BC trapped inside this phase PS/PP its migration interface difficult. In case, does not nor, consequently, compatibilization process. On other hand, BC's PS below critical value proved be localized at interface. This preferable entrapping some styrene–butadiene blend is, course, connected differing miscibility corresponding components blend. Although chemically identical blend, butadiene similar PP phase. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. J Polym Sci B: Phys 37: 1647–1656,
