摘要: Heat capacity measurements have been conducted for monolayer propane films adsorbed on graphite in the vicinity ofthe melting transition. Films at ten coverages between 0.4 and 1.07 layers were studied. For below n = 1.0 a very weak heat peak of height ∼2 C/Nk B , is found melting; transition centered about 67 K, good agreement with temperature structural studies. Above moves to higher temperatures increasing coverage. Data are compared those other hydrocarbon systems current theories two-dimensional melting.
