摘要: Ti-AI alloys have been prepared by mechanical alloying (MA) of pure titanium and aluminium powders for four compositions: Ti80AI20, Ti75AI25, Ti50AI50, Ti40AI60. The 50 < Ti(at%) 80 compositions could be fully amorphized with a milling time strongly dependent on the starting chemical composition. For Ti40AI60 composition only partial amorphization was observed. investigation early stage MA shows that different systems through two paths. On rich side (Ti=75,80 at%) first leads to formation an h.c.p. αTi(AI) solid solution content 14–16% which subsequently collapses into amorphous state. (Al=50,60 at%), sooner promotes nucleations disordered forms Ti3AI TiAl intermetallic compounds respectively. inhibition ordering transition observed phases is ascribed low temperature at SSR takes place. complete (Ti50AI50) or (Ti40AI60) powder then attained destabilization phases. present results confirm existence metastable f.c.c. phase as final Ti75AI25 compositions.
