Effect of the earthworm Lumbricus rubellus on the nematode community in a peat meadow soil

摘要: Abstract The effect of different densities Lumbricus rubellus on the nematode community was studied in a field experiment. stand, cultivated meadow peat-muck soil developed from moderately decomposed alder peat, located drained fens central basin Biebrza valley north-eastern part Poland. Samples were taken isolators into which 0, 2, 4 or 6 earthworms previously introduced. abundance and trophic structure fauna treatments compared 30, 60, 90 120 d after introduction L. rubellus . nematodes most pronounced at beginning Thirty days , total number all trials with significantly lower than control, numbers decreased increasing density. On later sampling dates, results less clear no significant observed treatments. bacterial-, fungal- plant-feeding control 30 d but differences found only case bacterial feeders.
