摘要: Neural simulation has been widely suggested as an alternative therapy for the treatment of medically-intractable seizures. Appropriate targeting control stimuli at selected cortical locations may lead to seizure abatement. population models describe macroscopic neural activity that can be clinically recorded by electroencephalogram (EEG). These provide a safer way develop and test effect such strategies. In this study, heterogeneously connected field model used which replicate spatio-temporal patterns commonly observed in EEG during generalized Seizure abatement formulated optimal problem pseudospectral method with anti-ictogenic properties. The minimum energy stimuli, developed study have shown abate seizures simulated from model. It demonstrated are spatially variant due underlying heterogeneity dynamics. This provides novel approach designing while taking into account heterogeneous dynamics human brain. also raises possibility finding appropriate set stimulated achieve anti-seizure effect.
