摘要: As human society has entered the century of city, studies urban ecosystems have shown a booming increase since beginning 21st century. Urban ecology aims to fully understand problems and find solutions sustainability challenges an increasingly urbanized planet. typical representatives developed developing nations, U.S. China are experiencing different urbanization processes. Yet development scientific investigations in field two countries seems reached same goal by means. We compare terms related disciplines, main research fields, hot topics. In general, American connects tightly basic paradigm trans-disciplinary study, while Chinese emphasizes practical problem-solving but lacks sufficient theoretical technical support. end, four key differences between cities discussed, including stage, boundary population, form landscape, metabolism management. These present both opportunities for collaboration ecological China. The ecologists will contribute not only countries’ also from countries.
