摘要: In the previous paper in this series it was shown that a pure flavin pentapeptide isolated from hepatic monoamine oxidase contains 1 mole each of serine and tyrosine 2 moles glycine, as well an additional amino acid which is covalently linked to 8α carbon riboflavin. This has been identified cysteine linkage thioether on basis positive chloroplatinic negative iodine-azide tests, performic oxidation or reduction with zinc, followed by hydrolysis, yield cysteic cysteine, respectively. The fluorescence properties agree those expected for its products. regard optical electron spin resonance spectra, chemical stability, characteristics peptide enzyme agrees excellently synthetic cysteinyl 8α-riboflavin.
