摘要: The expression of CEA and related antigens in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues normal pancreas different pancreatic neoplasms was studied immunocytochemically using three monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) recognizing epitopes on antigens. Additionally, a number extrapancreatic malignancies were tested. epitope recognized by MAb 250 (present NCA 95) expressed all but one ductal adenocarcinoma ampullary carcinoma (42/43). 431 defined only CEA) less frequently found (27/43). 374, defining an CEA, 95 55 proved to be nearly as sensitive tive 250, also reacted with duct epithelium. In contrast, discriminated clearly between reactive lesions malignant changes. Moreover, these MAbs differentiated carcinomas nonduct type well benign tumours. carcinomas, the strongest staining observed No discrimination possible other adenocarcinomas gastrointestinal tract nor most lung some malignancies, specified below. failed react hepatocellular renal cell carcinoids, sarcomas melanomas. findings suggest that contrast tumours ducts, are distinguished presence epitope.
