Anorexia nervosa in a long-term perspective: results of the Heidelberg-Mannheim Study.

摘要: The long-term outcome of 84 anorexia nervosa patients was studied over a period 12 years using global clinical ratings and differential physical findings in addition to standardized psychometric measurements. An unusual polarization into good fatal outcomes found, with high recovery rate 54% mortality 11%. When psychiatric somatic comorbidity psychosocial functioning were included the assessment, only 41% after years. Clear cases decreased steadily from 100% at presentation 67% 2 years, 40% 4 23% 6 There almost no further decline ninth year follow-up (17%). Purging, symptoms, advanced age presentation, social status predictors for an unfavorable course. About 22% had suffered relapse remission.
