摘要: Brittle matrix composites, including carbon-carbon (C-C) and ceramic matrix, offer a new dimension in the area of high-temperature structural materials. Fiber-matrix interactions determine mechanism load transfer between fiber resulting mechanical properties. Composites studied this work include C-C composite densified with chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) pyrolytic carbon, silicon carbide fiber-silicon composite, carbon composites by CVI technique. The type interfacial was found to control their presence compressive stress exerted on fibers attributed an increase flexural strength. transverse cracking C/SiC believed cause lowering strength value. fracture behavior SiC/SiC correlated amorphous silica layer at fiber-matrix interface.
