摘要: Bulimia nervosa and alcohol use disorders frequently co-occur. A review of the literature, however, reveals a paucity information on treatment patients with these comorbid conditions. We present case report 34-year-old Caucasian female 20-year history bulimia co-occurring dependence, who participated in randomized placebo-controlled medication augmentation trial for nervosa. The patient served as pilot subject met exclusionary criterion but received all assessment intervention procedures clinical Despite double-blind random assignment to placebo condition, patient's symptoms substantially improved over course 5-week efficacy trial. hypothesize that this improvement was due concurrent abstinence from rather than effect.
