摘要: In the fledgling but rapidly growing academic discipline of religion, media and culture, much attention has been paid to use new create develop individual religious identities, build connections foster group identities. Yet date most research focussed on exchanges literal text between users, little considered importance visual (either still images or videos) in communication meaning online environments. this presentation, I would like introduce image as an object construction identity interaction. The presentation will explore blogs 35 Australians who are conversant with a movement known “the emerging church”, global collection ideas conversations residing mainly traditional Protestant churches that seeks expressions faithful living postmodern urban challenges consumerism contemporary evangelicalism seen megachurch”. By captioned images, video capture (including links YouTube) web page design, show how bloggers endeavour present themselves being “on margins” conventional Christian life practice, employ intertextual play challenge modern binary oppositions orthodoxy/heresy, art/dirt, fun/work, constructions gender ethnicity.
