摘要: Abstract : The experimental approach developed by Miller and Kotlar for determining the thermal conductivity diffusivity of small, solid, energetic-material specimens-"Technique Measuring Thermal Diffusivity/Conductivity Small Insulator Specimens," Review Scientific Instruments, vol. 64, pp. 2954-2960, 1993-has been modified extended use in these properties electrically conductive materials, including liquids. As technique Kotlar, are determined from transient temperature response a point an system consisting two "semi-infinite" media, plane which is subjected to well-defined heat flux. However, allow be employed with specimens, experiment configured so that flux generated at nonconductive solid (as opposed interface between media), measured this as well. parameter (lambda pc(sub p))(sup 1/2) obtained fitting numerical simulation transfer process response. Coupling model nonlinear least-squares routine facilitates effort. To obtain absolute values specimen's diffusivity, knowledge its density capacity required. viability was established through experiments water, methanol, ethylene glycol, liquid propellant XM46 temperatures range 20-60 deg C.
