摘要: People are thirsty for medical information. Existing Web search engines often cannot handle well because they do not consider its special requirements. Often a information searcher is uncertain about his exact questions and unfamiliar with terminology. Therefore, he sometimes prefers to pose long queries, describing symptoms situation in plain English, receive comprehensive, relevant from results. This paper presents MedSearch, specialized engine, address these challenges. MedSearch uses several key techniques improve usability the quality of First, it accepts queries extended length reforms into shorter by extracting subset important representative words. only significantly increases query processing speed but also improves Second, provides diversified Lastly, suggests related phrases help user quickly digest results refine query.
