摘要: Outcome for patients with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is improved aggressive surgical resection followed by standard chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Intraoperative MRI (iMRI) a recent advancement that gives neurosurgeons direct radiographic feedback throughout procedure thus enables maximal of such lesions. We reviewed our series 35 cases in 29 who underwent resections their GBM's using iMRI. The average extent was 94% only three having less than 90%. However, even technology complete may not always be possible because tumor location near critical brain structure or involvement surrounding vascular structures. addition iMRI to the armamentarium treatment GBM improves degree while minimizing complications positively impact survival this patient population.
