摘要: The success of modern perinatal management techniques has led to the recommendation regional organization services. This report summarizes evaluation a national demonstration program such regionalization that was funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in 1975. In both regions and comparison areas, neonatal mortality rates decreased sharply over decade 1970s. decline linked shifts hospital delivery indicated antepartum risk identification transfer high-risk pregnancies tertiary centers for delivery, change service pattern consistent with some aspects regionalization. centralization deliveries appeared so widespread special effect RWJF could not be detected. Surveys surviving 1-year-old infants showed decrease accompanied selected morbidity. ( JAMA 1985;253:799-804)
