摘要: The IETF Differentiated Service (DiffServ) architecture can allow for establishing a modern large scale network which guarantees the quality of service. In order to realize multiple levels packet drop precedence required Assured Forwarding (AF) framework DiffServ, multi-level RED algorithm is needed. RIO (RED with In/Out) suitable AF scheme, and two major variants such as RIO-D RIO-C have been proposed widely used. Both use average lengths virtual queues determine different coupling strengths between queues. key difference lies fact that takes full has zero coupling. this paper, novel called RIO-FEC (RIO based on Fractional Exponent Coupling determining strength) proposed, achieve partial controllable power calculating each queue length. effects fractional exponent rates throughputs color-labeled are analyzed, 1/3 found be optimal. weight factor EWMAs (Exponential Weighted Moving Averages) lengths, thus affecting probability, also presented. results show total rate throughput good RIO-D. Furthermore, outperforms in terms preventing lowest-priority from bandwidth starvation, effectively adjudge gain desired control allocation priority fairness.
