摘要: Tumors of the jaws represent a heterogeneous group lesions that are classified histologically in World Health Organization Classification Odontogenic (2017). This article provides an update current nomenclature. The main role imaging is to describe precise location and extent these lesions. Although characterization often difficult due overlapping characteristics, helpful define which should be referred for histologic examination subsequent treatment planning. Location density cardinal criteria potential on imaging. Radiologically, may radiolucent, radiopaque, or mixed density. Additional include lesion demarcation, morphology, cortical breakthrough, periosteal reaction, adjacent soft tissue changes. Final only definitive after interdisciplinary discussion radiopathologic correlation. Correct diagnosis obtained by combination patient's age, location, clinical radiologic presentation. It important all physicians use uniform
