摘要: Summary Inhalers and nebulisers are devices used for delivering aerosolised drugs in subjects with Chronic Airflow Obstruction (CAO). This multicentre, cross-sectional observational study was performed a large population of outpatients CAO regularly using home aerosol therapy referring to chest clinics. The aims the were compare characteristics group who but also experienced inhalers vs. those only investigate whether first particularly prone inhaler misuse. Information gained evaluating responses standardised questionnaire on observations technique. We enrolled 1527 patients (58% males; mean ± SE; aged 61.1 ± 0.4 years; FEV1% pred 69.9 ± 0.6; 51% 44% respectively suffering from COPD asthma) users (OIU group) 137 (85% 67.7 ± 1.3 62.3 ± 2.9; 60% 23% both (NIU group). Nebuliser older, had more severe obstruction, related symptoms health care resources utilisation. Nebulisers critical errors than OIU (49% 36%; p  = 0.009). conclude that our regular nebuliser treatment advanced age, respiratory conditions common
