Enhanced visible-light photoactivity of La-doped ZnS thin films

摘要: ZnS and La-doped thin films were successfully synthesized using chemical-bath deposition on conductive glass substrates. The effects of La-doping the surface morphology, composition, structure optical properties investigated. photocatalytic performances undoped doped evaluated by photodegrading methyl orange aqueous solution under both ultraviolet-light visible-light irradiation. results show that stoichiometry ratio can be tailored concentration. An appropriate amount effectively extends absorption edge to region, which leads significant enhancement activity mechanism enhanced photoactivity is briefly discussed. present study provides a simple method for designing highly efficient semiconductor photocatalysts utilize sunlight.
